The talented 5th and 6th class children have been working with Google Classroom and Canva to create a digital poetry book.
We studied Haiku poetry, linked to our Asia theme and children wrote and did graphic designs for their poetry which we compiled into an e book format. The haiku is a Japanese poetic form that consists of three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third. Themes of nature and emotions are common in Haiku poetry.
