Living the Olympic Ethos
7th Mar 2024
On Thursday March 7th, Olympian Brendan Boyce shared a most inspiring speech, with incredibly grounded advice to all the students at St. Luke’s.
The Olympic Creed:
“The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well”
Brendan has represented Ireland in the London and Tokyo Games. We hope to see him compete in Paris in this summer’s Games.
Brendan encouraged the children to enthusiastically persevere, to take small steps towards achieving their goals.
