Over the last couple of weeks the student council in St. Luke's have been discussing organising a fundraiser in aid of the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. A child in 6th class brought the idea to the student council, and working collaboratively, they have agreed to arrange a fun Rowathon day in school on Monday the 13th of March.
Mr. Brady has organised to bring rowing machines to school on the day. All children in the school will be allocated a team and 4 teams in total will compete over the course of the day.
Sponsorship cards will be sent home on Monday next week. All money raised will go to UNICEF as the children's chosen charity.
